- Tenders are invited for Supplying Liquid Chlorine Cylinders. 50KG LIQUID CHLORINE CAPACITY This GENERAL specification of 50 kg capacity chlorine storage cylinders: 1. MATERIAL : Cylinders shall be made of high quality carbon steel tubes, or seamless pipes. 1. STANDARD: Design standard shall be an accepted national gas cylinders design standards. 2. CONSTRUCTION: Each cylinder shall consist of : shell, one valve with fusible plug, and valve protection bonnet. 3. THICKNESS : The shell will be of min 5mm thickness. 4. CAPACITY : The cylinder shall have 50 Ltr capacity (50 kg of water). 5. DIAMETER : The cylinder shall have an outside diameter of 220-250mm. 6. TESTING : Each cylinder shall be hydrostatic tested at 100 bars from qualified and accredited third party. 7. DESIGN TEMP. : 65ºC 8. THE MELTING : point of the fusible plugs shall be 74º + 2º and the plugs made of bronze. 9. THE VALVE will be made of bronze and the Spindles from monel-400. The inlet connection of valve shall be 1” standard tapered and threaded 14 TPI. The outlet connection of the valve shall be 5/8” fine threaded. 11. The upper dished end of the cylinder shall be provided with built-in flange impeded in the dished end . The impeded flange shall have though bolts over which one lid flange (triangular or circular) 1” size will be filled. The inlet connection of valve will be litted to cover lid flange. 10. Each cylinder shall be provided by cover bonnet to protect the valve. 11. Each cylinder shall be rust cleaned internally and externally. 12. Each cylinder shall be Included with covering cap.
