Tenders are invited for MERO Advocacy Consultancy. The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. Tender Purpose: The office of the Norwegian Refugee Council invites your company to apply for the MERO Advocacy Consultancy. NRC-s Middle East Regional Office (MERO) is seeking to identify a research consultant to provide analysis and conduct secondary research into drought and water scarcity challenges in Syria and Iraq. The research consultant will develop analysis into regional transboundary and water sharing agreements between Iraq , Syria and neighbouring countries including Turkey and Iran. Research would be conducted to assess the implementation of water agreements and related regional policies into water sharing. Additionally research would be conducted on climate change policies and water management policies in Iraq and Syria. The consultant will build on primary research by NRC-s country offices on the impact of drought on vulnerable communities. Specific deliverables and timeframe for delivery have been outlined in ToRs ‘-Annex 2 TOR--.
