Description:
The textiles and clothing sector is the biggestexporting sector in Jordan. Despite its significant contribution to theeconomy, the sector faces challenges related to the availability of skilledlabor to cater for the growing needs of the sector. From another side, the industry managers, despite thehigher wages and benefits, rely on expatriate workers as the local workforce isnot interested in employment in the garment industry and expatriate workershave higher production efficiency.To ensure workforce readiness and competitiveness,there is a need to develop tailored, high-quality curricula for identifiedprofessions within the sector. The primary objective of this assignment is to developstandardized, competency-based curricula and test bank for six professions inthe garments sector to meet industry demands, enhance skills, and align withnational and international standards.These curricula shall be utilized by the traininginstitutes, accredited by the Technical and Vocational Skills DevelopmentCommission (TVSDC) in Jordan.
