Request for proposals are invited for Humanoid Robots. Pre-Bid Meeting 31 July 2022 Interested bidders shall express their interest in attending the online meeting by sending an email to procurement@jrf.org.jo no later than 28 July 2022. Deadline for offeror (s) to submit proposals 11 August 2022 DESCRIPTION Jordan River Foundation seeks to inspire innovation and invention by giving the youth the experience of trying a humanoid robot that introduces new and attractive pedagogical topics and applies PBL (Project-Based Learning) approaches. In addition, they will help students develop problem-solving and analytical skills required to succeed in a knowledge-based and highly technological society. SCOPE OF WORK The main objective of this assignment is to enhance youth's capacity to program a medium-sized humanoid robot, understand the control system and the software which are customizable for specific tasks. Therefore, the awarded company will be responsible for delivering the following: 2.1 Supplying Humanoid Robots Providing four humanoid robots with the below specifications: a) Walk smoothly, even when changing speed and direction. The walking speed is similar to the walking speed of around 0.6 km/h. The robot can perform a rich panel of movements with smoothness, precision, and a certain degree of interactive autonomy. b) A great communicator, omnidirectional microphones and speakers allow to engage in enriched dialogues and interactions. The robot can listen and understand all kinds of situations and can speak clearly in at least two languages, Arabic and English. c) Equipped with two 2D cameras, can recognize shapes, objects, and even people, enhancing interactivity. d) Software Development Kit (SDK): gives access to the complete set of features of the robot, available in Python, C++, and drag and drops coding for beginners in coding. e) Could be stored at room temperature f) Connectivity over bloutuoth or Wifi g) Battery h) Motherbored 4 GB of RAM, a Quad Core CPU, and 32 GB of SSD HD i) Determine the activities and tasks want the robot to work on.
