Description:
1. Background & ContextThe International Labour Organization (ILO) is currently seeking a qualified national consultant to provide specialized expertise and support in the design, planning and implementation of a health intervention for a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) with the Social Security Corporation (SSC). The selected consultant will be responsible for the design of the health insurance package within the broader RCT design. The assignment will commence from the third week of January in the planning and design phase, and conclude a few months into the implementation phase, in August 2024. The primary focus will be on advising on all aspects relating to the design, procurement, and administration of the health insurance package, as well as providing strategic guidance in discussions with the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Social Security Corporation (SSC) and navigating stakeholders in the health sector.In Jordan, the majority of the workforce is in the informal economy, where there is increased risk of exploitation and a lack of social protection and health coverage.
