Tenders are invited for Consultant to Perform the following Services for the Development of a New Wellfield (“Basalt Wellfield”). The PEA is seeking to engage a qualified consultant to perform the following services for the development of a new wellfield (“Basalt Wellfield”), which should include as a minimum the following tasks: Review of available information and investigations about the presently available water resources at the existing Basalt wellfield; Assessment and analysis of available hydro-geological investigations concerning exploration and development of additional water resources in the wider area around the Basalt Well field, and assessment if further hydrogeological measurements are required (including the related measurement concept); Coordination and harmonisation of the concept for extension of the wellfield capacity with the authorities in Jordan, especially in the light of the extension of the neighbouring Azraq wellfield; Development of feasible concepts for an extension of the wellfield capacity and identification of the technical measures for transfer of the ground water to Irbid; Assessment of the present capacity of the existing Aqeb pipelines including planned future quantities to be conveyed in the pipeline; Preparation of a sound financial and economic analysis, including a preliminary costing of investment measures; Preparation of an environmental and social impact assessment; Preparation of a climate analysis Final design, tendering and construction supervision for the construction of up to 10 productive deep wells (with an option to drill up to 11 wells additionally); final design to be done for all wells Elaboration of tender documents, tendering and award of contract Construction supervision and assistance during the defect-s notification period [Disclaimer: The above text is machine translated.
