- The United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON), on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) Jordan Programme, is inviting interested vendors to submit an Expression of Interest for the anticipated solicitation exercise to establish a contract for Construction and Landscaping Works for Wadi Al Hadadeh Park - Amman, Jordan.UN-Habitat supports sustainable urban development and resilience building in cities, including strengthening adaptive capacity to climate related risks. In Jordan, increasing flood risks driven by rapid urbanization, insufficient drainage systems, and climate change have significantly impacted infrastructure, livelihoods, and access to basic services.Building on prior interventions, including flood risk assessments and pilot green infrastructure projects, UN-Habitat is implementing the project “Smart Urban Water Management: Enhancing the Adaptive Capacity and Urban Resilience of Amman through Urban Green Infrastructure”.The project aims to enhance urban resilience through sustainable water management systems and flood mitigation measures.The objective of this assignment is to implement flood mitigation infrastructure at selected high-risk locations in Amman, specifically at Wadi Al Hadadeh, one of the prioritized flood hotspots identified through hydrological and hydraulic modelling.Scope of WorksThe selected contractor will be responsible for executing construction works in accordance with approved drawing...
