• Request for proposals are invited for Comparative Analysis of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Supported by Jordan River Foundation in the Last Two to Three Years. Deadline for questions and clarifications 05 July 2022 Deadline for offeror(s) to submit proposals 17 July 2022 Anticipated Start Date: (Start date is subject to change) July / August 2022 SCOPE OF WORK Assessment Questions - What are the influential factors that affected the existence and operation of the micro and/or small businesses?  What are the success factors that supported the existence and operation of micro and/or small businesses in general? And following the lines of dynamic capabilities and resources-based views?  What are the tangible and intangible resources that are crucial and contributed for the business growth? - What is the socio-economic impact of the microbusinesses on macro and micro levels in Jordan? (Comparing the different sectors, nationalities, and locations) - What are the perceptual effects of geographical location on the performance of the micro and/or small businesses? - What is the actual and perceptual impact of age and gender on the sustainability and/or operation of the micro and/or small businesses? - What are the strategies affecting the sustainability of the micro and/or small businesses? (Comparing the different sectors, nationalities (Jordanians, non-Jordanian residents and Syrian and non-Syrian refugees), and locations) - What is the success rate across the different sectors of the micro and/or small businesses? - What are the predominantly preferable sectors for Syrians and Jordanians (independently)? And why? - What is the impact of nationality on the success and sustainability of the micro and/or small businesses? Assessment Methodology The consultant will be responsible for developing the tools, carrying out the data collection from the different sources, analyzing it, and reporting:  Survey with a sample of micro-small business beneficiaries (representation of the different projects, locations, years, nationalities, gender)  Interview the program staff (implementation and technical)  Interviews with mentors to get feedback about the mentoring process and its effectiveness.  Interviews with officials from relevant ministries.  Sample visits to businesses.
